Hello! I'm Michael Quigley, and this is my website. I am a software architect by day, and a computational experimenter, with a heavy interest in the arts, especially music, by night. One of my favorite non-nerd activities is sailing. I like to think I have an open mind, and a willingness to bridge gaps between my seemingly disparate worlds. I am a friend to animals. My beautiful sweetie and I live in a treehouse with a handful of cats. If you'd like to chat, offer advice on my projects, or maybe just exchange some lolcats, contact me!
I'm publishing this website with custom software that I've written. My system combines some of the elements of a blog and some of the elements of a wiki. This site is also a tool for me to explore different approaches for web publishing. Don't be surprised to see things evolving over time as I try things out. I'll be sure to retain permalinks for important content. I'm planning on adding tools to allow visitors to comment on articles, forum-like functionality, and other nifty features. An RSS feed is coming!
In the meantime, the first project that I'd like to share with you is Moose, my framework for seamless integration between XML and Java.
